UPDATES
St. Samuel Temple Congragation - Please remember our church fast days: every Tuesday and Friday. Also, pray without ceasing for the strength and unity of our church family. Men ought to always pray and not faint. Remember, much prayer-much power, little prayer-little power, no prayer-no power. If someone you know has been missing from church, check on your sister or brother and pray for them. The strong shall bear the infirmities of the weak. We are our brothers' keeper.

Church Updates
Bishop Lawrence M. Wooten, our jurisdictional prelate, has appointed Elder Donnie Moore, as interim pastor of Saint Samuel Temple Church of God in Christ. We offer Elder Donnie Moore our prayers, love and support as we all transition through this time of change. Together we will honor the legacy and build the vision. Congratulations to our our St. Samuel Temple COGIC youth and young adult students who are excelling the the area of academic achievement. Keep up the good work and continue to study to show thyself to be approved, a workman that need not be ashamed; rightly dividing the word of truth. In the words of Elder Moore,"if you want a financial blessing, get up and get you a job, and go to work." Remember, young people, stay in school! Three things you will need to be successful in life: Get God, get together, and get an education.

Choir
There will be choir rehearsal every Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. unless announced otherwise at St. Samuel Temple Church of God in Christ. Please come prepared with pencil, paper, tape recorders,etc. and ready to sing unto the Lord a new song. Also, please remember your choir dues. If for some reason, you cannot attend please let another choir member know. This way the information that we went over in the rehearsal can be forwarded to you. A fish fry and a barbecue will be held at the church on today, Friday September 8th from lunch time until sold out. Come and bring your family and friends! Enjoy a tasty array of deliciously prepared barbecued meats, tender fish, spaghetti and other favorites. And hey, don't heat up your house cooking dinner tonight; for a tasty treat and break from the kitchen, plan to pick up some delicious barbecue and fish dinners and sandwiches and surprise your family, amaze your friends. You will enjoy this and so will they. We look forward to seeing you at St. Samuel Temple COGIC on the corner of Evans and Taylor. Come on down!!! Oh, and don't forget, bring your appetite!! P.S. This is a fundraiser for a worthy cause, so that even if you have dietary restrictions that might prohibit or limit your intake of what we have available, please feel free to make a donation.
